Safety

Official explanation by the Dutch government in English

Work in NL, Safety
Your employer must provide a safe workplace. Your work and the place where you work must not be bad for your health or dangerous to you. Safety at work Your boss must follow certain rules so that you can work safely and healthily. These rules are laid down in the Working Conditions Act . This law contains rules on health and safety at work. If you work in the sex sector, you must also be able to work safely and stay healthy. Sekswerk Goed Geregeld (a Dutch information website for sex workers) explains what you can do if you face inappropriate behaviour, violence or threats. The information on this website is currently only available in Dutch. In future, the information will be available in more languages. Risks at work Your boss is required by law to make a list of the risks in your workplace. Your boss must also make an action plan for addressing these risks. This is called a risk assessment and evaluation. You can ask your boss for this list. If you work through an employment agency, the employment agency should be able to give you more information about this.
